
Catherine Morneau appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of Groupe TAQ

Québec City, March 9, 2026 – Groupe TAQ, an adapted enterprise providing quality jobs to people living with disabilities, is proud to announce the appointment of Catherine Morneau, Co-President of Groupe Morneau, as Chair of its Board of Directors, as well as the appointment of Claude-André Pouliot, entrepreneur, Macpek, and Georges Marchildon, Senior Vice President, Global Operations at Eddyfi Technologies. Their arrival strengthens Groupe TAQ’s governance and supports the organization’s ambition to increase both its competitiveness and its social impact.
Renewed governance
The first woman to hold this position within the organization, Catherine Morneau assumes the role at a pivotal moment in Groupe TAQ’s history. Her appointment follows the departure of André Des Rochers after 46 years of exceptional volunteer service as a board member, including 30 years as Chair of the Board.

An entrepreneurial chair at the helm
Catherine Morneau grew up within the family succession of Groupe Morneau, a flagship company of Québec inc. Her background naturally resonates with the DNA of Groupe TAQ, which has itself acquired three companies over the years. Having served on the Board of Directors for the past three years, Ms. Morneau understands both the challenges faced by an adapted enterprise and its strong potential.

A clarified strategy to strengthen the offering and support the mission
Groupe TAQ can rely on a strong Board of Directors composed of Catherine Morneau, Groupe Morneau, Geneviève Bernard, Retraite Québec, Claudia Cantin, Université Laval, Josianne Cloutier, RCGT, Stéphane Fortier, Le Pavois, Marie-Michèle Le Moine, Fruit d’Or, Georges Marchildon, Eddyfi Technologies, Claude-André Pouliot, Macpek, and Michel Ruest, retired Chief Financial Officer.
A new website
Groupe TAQ intends to consolidate and further develop its subcontracting services in food product co packing, as well as assembly and packaging for the food, manufacturing, and healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. The organization also continues manufacturing Faber snowshoes, the Canadian market leader, a distinctive activity within Groupe TAQ.
In this spirit of clarity and consistency, Groupe TAQ is also unveiling its new website, www.groupetaq.com, designed as a business tool serving its clients, partners, and stakeholders. The new site highlights the solutions offered, the sectors served, and the organization’s socioeconomic value proposition.
