A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO - GABRIEL TREMBLAY

Being high-performing and inclusive. Period.

Équipe TAQ dans l'entrepôt

There are moments when an organization clearly feels that it is turning a new chapter. Not because everything is ending, quite the opposite, but because the decisions we make now will define the years ahead.

The appointment of Catherine Morneau as Chair of our Board of Directors is one of those moments. It comes at a pivotal time for Groupe TAQ, as our environment is evolving rapidly, business expectations are shifting, and our mission remains more essential than ever.

This new chapter is also marked by the arrival of two experienced directors on our Board, Claude-André Pouliot, entrepreneur, Macpek, and Georges Marchildon, Senior Vice President, Global Operations at Eddyfi Technologies. Their experience in entrepreneurship, governance, operations, and innovation will enrich the Board’s discussions and support the continued development of Groupe TAQ.

Strong, deeply human governance

I am very proud to count on Catherine as Chair of our Board. Her entrepreneurial experience, long-term vision, and ability to combine performance with values are exactly what we need for what lies ahead.

But I also want to take a moment to recognize the human contribution of our entire Board of Directors. A board is not an abstract structure, it is a group of individuals who give their time, energy, judgment, and often a great deal of heart.

A warm thank you to our administrators

Groupe TAQ relies on a strong Board of Directors composed of Catherine Morneau, Groupe Morneau, Geneviève Bernard, Retraite Québec, Claudia Cantin, Université Laval, Josianne Cloutier, RCGT, Stéphane Fortier, Le Pavois, Marie-Michèle Le Moine, Fruit d’Or, Georges Marchildon, Eddyfi Technologies, Claude-André Pouliot, Macpek, and Michel Ruest, retired Chief Financial Officer.

And I want to highlight in a very special way the exceptional commitment of Mr. André Des Rochers, our outgoing Chair, who dedicated 46 years of volunteer service to Groupe TAQ, including 30 years as Chair. That is rare. And it is invaluable.

The future of adapted enterprises is being shaped now

We can feel it everywhere, automation, artificial intelligence, cost pressures, economic and political tensions, everything is accelerating. All organizations must adapt, and adapted enterprises are no exception.

At Groupe TAQ, we refuse to see this reality as inevitable. We see it as a call to do better, faster, and more clearly.

Our ambition is simple, to make TAQ a driving force in the future of adapted enterprises. An organization that is agile, entrepreneurial, credible with clients, and faithful to its purpose.

We are building this model by combining three strengths:

  • Collective entrepreneurship, because our mission is driven by clear socioeconomic objectives and by clients who need our solutions;
  • Sustainable investment, because we want to build for the long term with partners and investors who believe in our mission;
  • Impact-driven philanthropy, because certain transformations will never happen without mobilization, and we need the support of foundations and individuals who, like TAQ, want to change the lives of people with disabilities.

In a rapidly changing world, no one should be left behind

What we are experiencing right now is demanding, for businesses, for communities, for teams, and for many individuals who feel the world is changing without them. That is precisely where Groupe TAQ must stand.

Because in this race toward the future, there is a line we will never cross, the line where people are left behind. Not now. Not here.

We can modernize the way we operate, strengthen our competitiveness, develop solid markets, and be a high-performing organization, without losing sight of what matters most, providing quality jobs to people with disabilities and enabling them to play an active role in our society.

It is our responsibility. And quite frankly, it is also our pride.
Thank you for being part of what comes next.
