Employment for People with Disabilities: $5 Million Raised Through the Largest Community Bond Campaign in Quebec, Led by Groupe TAQ

Quebec City, November 6, 2025 – Groupe TAQ, an adapted enterprise offering quality jobs to people with disabilities, proudly announces the exceptional success of its community bond campaign launched on March 10: $5,011,200 raised, reaching and surpassing its $5 million target. Thanks to Groupe TAQ’s leadership, this initiative is now recognized as the largest community bond campaign ever conducted in Quebec.

A Campaign of Boldness and Impact

Groupe TAQ enables people of all ages with disabilities to access meaningful employment in a safe and supportive work environment that respects their needs. The campaign pursued three main goals:

  • To create a fund for project acquisition and development;
  • To rebalance short- and long-term debt;
  • To build an engaged community of supporters from the general public, the business sector, and institutions.

“This campaign reflects our investors’ shared desire to make a tangible impact and change people’s lives. We are deeply grateful for their trust and support. Thanks to them, the Groupe TAQ community is now larger and stronger than ever. This will allow us to play an even more significant role in the inclusion of people with disabilities and to pursue our mission with an expanded reach,” said Gabriel Tremblay, CEO of Groupe TAQ.

These combined efforts allowed Groupe TAQ to close the campaign with $5,011,200 raised and 65 investors united by a shared vision: to build a more inclusive and caring Quebec.

Essential Strategic Partners

Fonds l’ampli and the Réseau d’investissement social du Québec (RISQ), both part of the Chantier de l’économie sociale, played key roles. Their expertise, guidance, and financial support provided a strong foundation for this historic campaign.

“Community bonds and preferred shares allow citizens, businesses, and institutional investors to contribute to transforming our economy. By investing in collective enterprises, these investors ensure positive social returns and support the creation and strengthening of organizations that reinvest their profits in the community. This is tangible proof of how the social economy movement is building an economy that works for all of us,” said Béatrice Alain, Executive Director, Chantier de l’économie sociale.

Groupe TAQ also extends heartfelt thanks to Québec Philanthrope for its valuable collaboration.

Under the leadership of Rina Marchand, Director of Philanthropic Partnerships and Communications, the Groupe TAQ campaign was supported by a remarkable team of ambassadors: Karyne Alstream (Réseau Mentorat), Dominique Brown (Chocolats Favoris), Catherine Morneau (Groupe Morneau), Martin Le Moine (Fruit d’Or), Martin Bouchard (QScale), Alain Fortier (Mallette), as well as Manon Boisvert and Raphaël Hivon-Michaud, employees of Groupe TAQ.
